CAIRO – 7 November 2021: The Public Prosecution holds on November 7-9 an international conference on the role of public prosecution authorities on combating cross-border crimes under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

The event includes the 15th meeting of African public prosecutors, and the first meeting of Arab public prosecutors.

Public Prosecutor Hamada al-Sawy had held in June the first meeting of the executive committee of the African Public Prosecutors Authority via video-conference.

The meeting covered the association's affairs, and the challenges that face public prosecution authorities in African states during COVID-19 pandemic. Also, a workshop on combating crimes pertaining to migration and organized cross-border crimes was launched.

As chair of the association, the Egyptian Public Prosecution has been raising funds through partnerships with regional and international institutions to invest in the capacity-building of African public prosecution personnel.
