DAMASCUS - 10 July 2017: Local sources said that 40 elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were mistakenly killed in an airstrike launched by the international coalition forces on a post of the SDF in Al Raqqa countryside.

Russia Today quoted the sources as saying Monday that the international coalition fighter jets accidentally struck a position affiliated to SDF in Al Akirishi village, southeast of Al Raqqa province, killing 40 and injuring others.

Syrian activists said that coalition troops launched raids on Al Raqqa on Sunday, leaving 23 civilians dead and 50 others injured.
