CAIRO – 26 October 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi greeted Tuesday his Zambian counterpart Hakainde Hichilema in a cable on the occasion of Independence Day.

Zambia became independent of the United Kingdom on October 24, 1964 turning into a republic.

Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia Moataz Anwar delivered in September medical aid to Minister of Health Silvia Masebo in the capital, Lusaka.

The aid consisted of oxygen generators, personal protective equipment (PPE), oxygen masks, and other protective equipment.

A ceremony was held on the occasion, where the minister valued the support of Egypt to her country's health sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the continuous cooperation in the field of human capacity-building.
