CAIRO - 25 October 2021: French Prime Minister Jean Castex said on Monday that his country will reveal soon all details of its proposal to construct the Cairo Metro Line 6.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Castex praised the vital role played by Egypt in the Middle East region and voiced France's keenness to foster relations between Paris and Cairo.

For his part, Madbouli said Egypt started to largely depend on France's expertise in the field of construction and management of mass transportation, such as monorail, light rails, and subway.

Madbouli also called on major French companies to invest in ambitious programs adopted by the Egyptian government to manufacture electric cars and establish water desalination plants in the country.

The Egyptian premier urged the French companies to expand their investments in the field of clean energy in Egypt in light of the country's strategy to move towards the green economy.

He also voiced Egypt's desire to sign cooperation protocols between Egyptian and French universities to improve academic education in Egypt.

Meanwhile, Castex said the French companies are keen to take part in all development and industrial projects in Egypt.

He also promised Madbouli to visit Egypt soon.
