CAIRO - 21 October 2021: Mauritanian Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr. Mohamedou Ahmedou Mhaimid has paid a visit to major transport projects in Egypt, Africa  Gate News reported.
 
He visited the mega project of bridges and highways in the city of October 6, Cairo, besides the new metro line and civil engineering works for the Cairo Monorail.
 
The minister was briefed on the Egyptian experience in implementing major transport infrastructure projects.
 
In December 2020, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from his Mauritanian counterpart, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, to discuss several issues of common concern.
 
On regional issues, visions were exchanged on the Libyan crisis, as the two sides agreed on the need to intensify coordination to solve the crisis in light of the direct and continuous repercussions against the national security of the two countries, as well as the regional one.
 
The two sides affirmed their keenness to end this crisis by reaching a political solution that paves the way for the return of security and stability to Libya.
