CAIRO - 30 September 2021: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will hold talks with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on October 4, said Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei Zaitsev in a press briefing on Thursday.

“The Ministers will discuss the further development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres,” he said.

Sergey Lavrov visited Egypt in April 2021 and held discussions with Shoukry on the updates in the MENA region including updates in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Libya.
They also discussed posting cooperation and relations between Cairo and Moscow, as they discussed the latest developments on the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.

Commenting on the GERD issue, Lavrov said his country supports any settlement deal, which is taken in coordination between all the parties concerned as long as it guarantees the legitimate interests of the three countries.
