CPYP participates in monitoring Russia’s State Duma Elections

CAIRO - 18 September 2021:  Member of the Coordination Committee of Parties' Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP) Mahmoud Al Kot has participated in monitoring Russia’s 2021 Duma elections, which kicked off Friday, September 17.

Being the Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee for Culture and Antiquities, Tourism at the Egyptian Senate, Al Kot is one of the Egyptian Senate’s observers who have been officially tasked to monitor the parliamentary elections of the Russian State Duma (the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia.)

The Egyptian delegation will hold a number of meetings with the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma and officials supervising the election process.  In addition to this, the Egyptian observers will visit a number of polling stations and election management operations rooms.

The Egyptian delegation, which was received by Egypt's ambassador to Russia, ambassador Ehab Nasr, includes MP Sherif Al-Jabri, Undersecretary of the Youth and Sports Committee in the Senate; and MP Nevin George, a member of the Senate.
