CAIRO – 12 September 2021: The Ministry of Education and Technical Education indicated Sunday that 16 percent (251,675) of school teachers received the two doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine, and that 29 percent (473,401) got the first one.

In August, Spokesperson of the Cabinet Nader Saad said that coronavirus vaccination would be mandatory for everyone involved in the educational process in Egypt. Those include public and private university students, school students aged above 18 years and school teachers.

Equally, Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed indicated in a Cabinet meeting in the same month that the number of public employees who had been vaccinated is 1.3 million (17.3%) out of approximately 7.5 million.
