Egypt condemns Kabul airport terrorist attacks

CAIRO – 26 August 2021:  Egypt has strongly condemned the two bombing attacks outside Kabul airport in Afghanistan, which left dozens of Afghans and US troops dead and wounded Thursday.

Egypt offered condolences to the families of the victims who were killed in the brutal attacks, and wished speedy recovery for the wounded, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

Egypt also reiterated its solidarity for combating terrorism, violence, extremism in all forms, the statement added.

Earlier, two Suicide bombers caused huge explosions near the gates of Kabul airport causing the killing and injuring of dozens of civilians and US troops amid the evacuation process with the approaching of the deadline that was announced by Taliban to end all evacuations from the airport.

Hundreds of Afghans were desperately crowded at Hamid Karzai International Airport since August 14, since Taliban controlling of the power in Kabul.

The United Stated along with other European Countries warned Wednesday night from ‘possible terrorist attacks’ in Kabul airport, urging its citizens to stay away from the airport and evacuate all surrounding areas.
