Counselor Ezzat Abu Zeid was sworn in as the new head of the country’s Administrative Prosecution Authority in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – Presidency

CAIRO – 23 August 2021: Counselor Ezzat Abu Zeid was sworn in as the new head of the country’s Administrative Prosecution Authority in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Sisi also awarded a first-class Republican Order to counselor Essam El-Din El-Menshawy, the former head of the authority, a statement by the Presidency read.

Sisi expressed appreciation of Menshawy’s efforts and dedication in bearing the responsibility of the authority’s national message and in contributing to reforming the state’s administrative apparatus.

This comes in extension of the longstanding history of the Administrative Prosecution Authority in combating corruption and achieving discipline in the governmental administrative performance, the statement read.

Counselor Ezzat Abu Zeid Abdel Rahman Abu Zeid Sallam, the new authority’s head, was born in 1952 and obtained his Bachelor’s from the Faculty of Law, Cairo University in 1974.

He started serving in the Administrative Prosecution Authority one year later and has served in many leading posts in the authority.
