CAIRO - 22 August 2021: Upon Directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Egypt will establish a hospital for Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology in Djibouti, said Egyptian Health Minister Hala Zayed in a joint press conference with her Djibouti counterpart on Sunday.

The Egyptian Minister of Health added that a nursing school will be established in the hospital, in addition to providing a place for ambulances, in order to integrate medical services in the hospital.

In July 2021, Egypt signed the statute for establishing the African Medicines Agency (AMA). In May 2021, Zayed said Egypt has sent medical supplies and medicines to 22 African countries since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
