CAIRO – 16 August 2021: A security source has denied reports circulated by a news website on taking packages of decisions to enforce penalties stipulated by the new traffic law.

These claims are false and baseless since the new traffic law has not been issued yet, the source said, adding that they aim to spread rumors and lies.

Earlier reports published alleged traffic laws’ penal code of the new traffic law, including imposing a fine ranging from LE 500 to LE 1,500 on drivers whose cars have bad smell inside.

The alleged penal code also includes imposing fines on abusing traffic policemen and committing indecent acts in public streets.

MENA contributed to the reporting.
