CAIRO – 12 August 2021: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi marked the International Youth Day held annually on 12 August, saying the Egyptian youth “are half the present and all the future”.

The president also expressed full confidence in the Egyptian young people’s determination to contribute to achieving the dream of the nation.

“On International Youth Day, I pay tribute to the great youth of Egypt; they are half the present and the entire future,” Sisi said in a Facebook post.

“With the hands [of our youth,] our dear nation is writing an exceptional history of work, construction and advancement,” the president added.

“I have absolute confidence in the youth of Egypt and in their enthusiasm and determination so that our original dream of building a homeland of glory, pride and dignity is achieved,” Sisi said.

"With its youth, Long Live Egypt," the president added.

Sisi has affirmed in many occasions his support and confidence in the Egyptian youth. Under the president’s auspices, also a number of youth conferences have been held to listen to the young people’s views.
