Pics: Russian reporters interview tourists in Sharm el-Sheikh upon return of direct flights

CAIRO – 11 August 2021: A Russian media delegation arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh Wednesday to report on the resumption of direct flights and anti-Covid precautions.

 

Members of the Tourism Authority in the Red Sea resort received the delegation with flowers, souvenirs, and promotional materials in Russian.

 

Maged Abu Sdeira, head of the Central Administration of Tourism, said the visit will promote Egypt as a tourist destination amongst Russian travelers.

 

The delegation has already interviewed Khaled Fouda, governor of South Sinai and Ahmed Youssef, head of the Tourism Authority in Sharm el-Sheikh.

 

The Russian reporters also visited several hotels and resorts and met with representatives of these hotels to identify health precautionary measures. They also talked to Russian tourists in the hotels, who said they were happy to be back to Egypt to enjoy its sun and the beauty of the Red Sea.

Outside hotels, the delegation walked around Sharm el-Sheikh, visited landmarks and spoke to the owners of shops and bazaars.
