CAIRO - 8 July 2017: The Qatari Ambassador to Israel, Mohamed el-Amadi, arrived in Palestine for talks with leaders about the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. It is the first visit since Arab states cut ties with Qatar.

The visit will last for several days.

Israeli media outlets reported that the Qatari official will discuss several projects funded by Qatar inside Qatar.

Amadi will reportedly meet with Hamas officials, who are dominant in Gaza since the coup that it led in 2007.

Qatar is implementing a number of unknown projects in Gaza, funded by the former Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, in estimation of $ 407 billion.
