KABUL - 8 July 2017: Afghan officials announced Saturday that 32 militants of Daesh and Taliban terrorist groups were killed and wounded in military operations including air strikes in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

At least 14 terrorist insurgents were killed and 11 others wounded in the first airstrike while the other airstrike killed three insurgents, reported by Khaama Press News Agency quoting Provincial Police statement, adding that airstrikes were conducted using drones.

Taliban carried out attack on a number of security checkpoints in Nangarhar province resulted in the death of two elements of Taliban and the injury of two affiliated others after shootout with security forces who countered them.

Afghan officials affirmed that there is no report of security forces or civilian casualties.

Last week Afghan Forces along with US led international coalition against Daesh carried out a number of military operations in Helmand Province resulted in more than 60 killings from Taliban insurgents.

Afghan Forces recently intensify their military operations targeting Daesh and Taliban terrorist militants in a number of Afghanistan provinces.
