School in Gharbia to be named after Sinai slain soldier

TANTA - Egypt - 8 July 2017: Gharbia Governor Ahmed Sakr has decided to name a primary school after martyr Mahmoud Ragad el Sayyed, who was killed in a terror attack on a military checkpoint in Rafah city of North Sinai.

Visiting the martyr's family to offer condolences, the governor said that urgent payments would be allocated to the family.

He stressed Egypt is able to uproot terrorism.

Earlier in the day, a military funeral was held for the slain soldier in his hometown.

Thousands of citizens took part in the funeral.
