CAIRO – 15 July 2021: Egypt jumped 38 places in the index of the safest countries in the world in 2021, according to an infographic published by the Egyptian Cabinet Information Center.

The infographic shows that Egypt succeeded in advancing 38 places despite the increase in the number of countries on the index this year, as well as despite the Covid-19 pandemic repercussions, and the large numbers of injuries and deaths it left around the world.

In the ranking, the United States came after Egypt at 71st, Brazil at 129th, and others.

Egypt ranked 65th globally in 2021 among 134 countries, compared to 103rd out of 128 countries in 2019. Iceland, the UAE and Qatar were the top 3 countries on the index in 2021.

The "World's Safest Country" index also includes three main factors: personal security, wars, natural disasters, and safety from the risk of infection with the Corona virus.
