CAIRO – 23 June 2021: Egypt’s Ministry of Health targets vaccinating 40 percent of the population by the end of the current year, stated Head of Central Department of Health Affairs Mohamed Abdel Fattah.

 

There are more than 400 centers across the country to vaccinate citizens against Coronavirus, he said.

 

He further added that the Ministry of Health is still considering the allowance of audience to attend the coming football match between Al-Ahly and Al-Taragi set to be held on Saturday.   

 

The Health Ministry said Monday night that 509 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 277,797.

 

The Ministry of Health announced a decline in the number of daily infections with Coronavirus as the third wave of the virus has passed its peak and soon to conclude.

 

On Tuesday, the ministry announced that 799 people recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged from the hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, bringing the total number of recovered patients from the virus to 206,852 to date.
