Ahmed Fathi, President of YLE Foundation, stated that the Foundation celebrated this year’s World Environment Day more than effectively under the slogan #EcosystemRestoration, which started on 4-6, where a workshop was held to teach the principles of agriculture and was attended by more than 20 trainees.

On 5-6 June, the #Nile_tree project was launched, aiming to afforestation on both sides of the canals that were lined within the national project to reclaim the canals in cooperation with the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in Egypt. The project aims to beautify the canals, improve the climate, reduce climate changes and contribute to restoring the ecological balance. It is planned to plant 500,000 trees within two years.

The Foundation also organized a training in cooperation with the Environmental Compliance Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries on the concept of the circular economy to train 15 young men and women

YLE also launched a photography competition in cooperation with Nikon Corporation for the best photograph that represents ecosystems and the environment.

And all of this was with our keenness to have designs that express our projects and goals with the help of the imaging and design team in the institution, who help us communicate our vision and say through those designs (no to plastic).
