CAIRO – 6 June 2021: Egypt condemned Sunday the missile attack launched by Houthis against Marib Airport in Yemen killing 17 civilians, including a five-year-old girl, when a ballistic missile they fired hit a gas station near the airport on Saturday.

In April, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry received UN Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths in Cairo to discuss means of achieving a comprehensive sustainable political solution in the fellow Arab state.

In March, two Egyptian military jets landed in Saudi Arabia for it to deliver consignments of aid and baby formula to Yemen.

Egypt has been continuously slamming Houthi violence against Yemen and Saudi Arabia, expressing support to the Yemeni people.
