Egypt reports 821 new coronavirus cases, 41 fatalities in 24 hours

CAIRO - 6 June 2020: Egypt has detected 821 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 267,171.


In a statement released by the Health Ministry, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 41 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 15,309.

As many as 799 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 195,871 so far, the spokesman said.

In April 2021, the VACSERA and Chinese biopharmaceutical company Sinovac signed two agreements to manufacture the Sinovav vaccine. VACSERA will manufacture the final product using the ready-made product provided by Sinovac.
