CAIRO – 11 May 2021: Ministry of Health assured that both Egyptians and non-Egyptians who are living in Egypt are receiving the Coronavirus vaccine for free.

The ministry further called on citizens to register to receive the vaccine, stressing that it is safe and effective to protect them against the virus, according to a statement by the Health Ministry spokesperson Khaled Megahed.

He added that the vaccine reduces the chances of infection with COVID-19, and also reduces severe symptoms in case of an actual infection.

Citizens aged 18 and above are eligible to register to receive the vaccine.

Egypt has recorded 1,150 new infections with Coronavirus, and 68 deaths on Monday.

The registration to get the vaccine is done either online (http://mohpegypt.com) or at certain health facilities. Afterwards, citizens get informed about the time and place where they will receive the vaccine.
