CAIRO – 6 July 2017: Brazil's renowned footballer Ronaldinho arrived in Egypt on Wednesday to inaugurate his humanitarian aid organization “Ronaldinho Foundation” as part of his participation at the “Tour n’ Cure” campaign.
Ronaldinho started his tour in Egypt by visiting the Pyramids, before he headed to the North Coast, where he will stay for two days.
While at the pyramids, the Brazilian footballer tweeted, “Back where it all began! Cairo is incredible!”
Former footballer and brother of Ronaldinho, Roberto de Assis Moreira, said the initiative includes an inauguration of a football academy in Egypt soon.
The Ronaldinho Foundation aims to provide treatment to those in need around the world in cooperation with international companies and donor agencies.
Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Hisham al-Demiri, stressed the importance of international celebrities visiting Egypt, which, according to Demiri, contributes greatly to promote tourism in the country.
