CAIRO - 5 May 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has directed the government to document all efforts exerted by the State over the past years to achieve comprehensive development in various fields.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed and Chairwoman of the National Council for Women Maya Morsi on Tuesday, the president said the documentation will serve surveillance and analysis capabilities as well as accuracy of indicators issued by specialized institutions about the development process in Egypt.
The meeting tackled the Egyptian government's efforts to launch the Human Development Report, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Egypt, which has been suspended since 2011, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
According to the spokesman, the report is based on a conceptual framework for achieving comprehensive development in the economic, political, social and cultural fields, as well as promoting human development, making economic and social reforms, and promoting environmental sustainability in order to attain the sustainable development goals.
