CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Wednesday that the four Arab countries fighting terrorism (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain) confirm their stance on fighting terrorism and drying up its resources.

The remark was made at a joint press conference with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, Adel al Jubair, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Khaled al Khalifa respectively.

The Egyptian top diplomat asserted that there will be zero tolerance with the Qatari support for terrorism and extremism.

He added that coordination and consultation are maintained among the four Arab countries to serve their joint interests. He further confirmed that the stances of the four countries over fighting terrorism are identical.

Shoukry noted that the four top diplomats held a behind-door session of talks and another public session with the participation of members of the delegations where they took up the recent developments of the crisis with Qatar and how to handle any developments on this score.

Shoukry regretted the negative response by Qatar to the demands for settling the crisis and its procrastination for reaching a solution.

The four ministers agreed on maintaining consultation and meetings, he added.
