CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Member of Parliament Mohamed Abou Hamed said on Wednesday that Qatar's decision to accept the list of demands submitted by Arab neighboring countries or not is not autonomous, but influenced by the states and groups it is allied with.

Abou Hamed told Egypt Today that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi would not tolerate Qatar’s support for terror and attempts to destabilize the country, which have taken hundreds of lives in Egypt.

The parliamentarian added that countries that have committed crimes against Egypt and its people must pay a hefty price as stipulated by international law. He stressed that Egypt is dealing with the Qatari case with great caution as it continues to gather evidence and present it to other Arab countries to crystallize a unified stance against the Gulf state.

The same evidence will be used to hold Qatar accountable on an international scale for its involvement in backing and funding terrorist groups across the Middle East region.
