Egypt takes steps to introduce mobile units offering documentation, municipal services

CAIRO - 26 March 2021: The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development signed Thursday two cooperation protocols managing and operating mobile units that offer services on behalf of the Egyptian Registry, and municipal authorities.

One is with the ministries of justice, and communications, while the other is with the Ministry of Local Development.

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Said said that the vehicles will be located in the most crowded places to relieve pressure on fixed technology centers crowded with citizens, as well as places that do not have fixed technology centers.

According to the first protocol, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development will deliver 20 vehicles equipped to provide mobile documentation services to citizens. The vehicles will consist of a surveillance system that will be linked to the agency responsible for operating (Real Estate Registry - Real Estate Registry Authority Information Center - Ministry of Justice).

According to the second protocol, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development shall equip and manage 20 mobile units offering municipal services.
