In her meeting with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Egyptian First Lady Entissar al-Sisi at Cairo-based Presidential Palace on Saturday, Melania voiced her admiration for the Egyptian civilization.

She also expressed her keenness to strengthen the bilateral relations between Cairo and Washington, said Egyptian presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi in a statement.

President Sisi praised the role played by USAID in Egypt to finance small and medium-sized enterprises in support of Egypt's economic and social reform, Radi said, adding that the President also highlighted the strong relations between the two countries in fields of health, education and tourism.

The meeting also tackled Egypt’s efforts in maximizing women’s role in the society, and the protection of children and youth’s rights, Radi continued.
