CAIRO-12 March 2021: A late screamer from Arsenal's Egyptian midfielder Mohamed El Neny helped Arsenal secure a comfortable 3-1 victory over Greek giants Olympiacos.

The two teams met in the first leg of the round of 16 in Greece and the visitors managed to secure a strong first-leg lead thanks to three fantastic goals.

The home team's goalkeeper failed to stop a screamer from Martin Ødegaard, who opened the score for Arsenal and opened his account with the Gunners.

Youssef El-Arabi equalised for the Greek giants in the second half from outside the penalty but a superb header from Gabriel regained Arsenal's lead.

El Neny took part in the match as he substituted Brazilian midfielder Willian and he had a quick impact in the game as his swerving long-range strike made the score 3-1.

"I am happy with the result but I'm not satisfied with how we controlled the game through 95 minutes and that’s something that we have to improve." Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said after the match.

The Gunners secured a commanding first-leg lead ahead of the second leg in London, scheduled on 18 March.
