CAIRO – 2 July 2017: Handball professional handball player Hussein Zaki is close to signing a deal with Zamalek SC after his contract with Al-Ahli Dubai Emirati club ended.

Hussein Zaki who featured in more than 600 games in the professional career is considered to be one of the experienced Egyptian players who are from the golden generation of the handball Egyptian team that participated in the Summer Olympics of 2000, 2004, and 2008.

Zaki will help Ahmed el-Ahmer in adding some experience in the team that would enable them to compete in next season’s tournaments.

Zamalek SC is looking to strengthen their Handball squad in order to compete for next season’s Handball Champions League and League title. Zamalek has previously signed Mohamed Alaa “Luka” and Mohamed Khalil “Felfel” from Tayran Club, Ali Hazem and Akram Yousri from Heliopolis.

They also extended the contracts of the following players: Mohamed “Hitler”, Mosatafa Tamer “Dongol”, Mohamed Abdel Salam “Resha”, and Karim Ayman.
