CAIRO-14 August 2020: Spanish giants, Barcelona, face German champions Bayern Munich on Friday night in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

The last time the two teams met in the competition was in 2015 UEFA Champions League semis when Barcelona won the tie 5-3 to advance to the final.

The German giants are the favourites to advance to the semi-finals after clinching the domestic double as well as producing top class performances in the competition.

The German club defeated Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate, 3_0 in London and 4_1 in Munich, to reach the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Barcelona will count on their biggest star, Lionel Messi, to take them to the semi-finals.

Barcelona's expected line-up for the game consists of: Ter Stegen, Pique, Langlet, Semedo, Alba, Rakitic, De Jong, Busquets, Roberto, Suarez and Messi.

"Bayern have a very important offensive potential and therefore they could harm us, but everything will depend on our success, as usually happens." Barcelona manager Quique Setién said.

The game starts on 9:00 pm.
