CAIRO – 27 June 2017: In hopes of a permanent fixture, Saudi-led Al-Ittihad has raised their offer to sign Mahmoud Abdel-Moniem (Kahraba) from LE 23 million ($1.27 million) to LE 75 million ($4.13 million) on Monday.

The 23-year-old striker has been on loan from Zamalek since last season’s transfer window. As his season-long contract came to an end in May, it was rumored Kahraba was being considered for another season with the Saudi Ittihad Jeddah.

The transfer pact was rejected by the White Castle as the price tag was not high enough for Zamalek chairman Moratda Mansour, according to Yalla Kora.

The national team striker showcased his superb football abilities during the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon where he netted a late winning goal in Egypt’s quarterfinal clash with Morocco, defeating the Atlas Lions for the first time in 31 years.
