CAIRO - 14 June 2017: Ahead of this week's FIFA confederation cup, Egypt Today takes a look at the current FIFA rankings.
FIFA updated its national team rankings on June 1, and the next update will be announced July 6.
Brazil is in first place with 1,715 total points. Brazilian national team is considered the first team to qualify for the Russian 2018 World Cup from the qualifying rounds.
Messi and his Argentinean fellows come in the second place with 1,626 points.
The World Cup title holder, Germany, is in third place with 1,511 points.
Latin America twice-in-a-row winner Chile, one of the favorites to win the next Confederations Cup in Russia on June 17, occupies the fourth place of the top 10 with 1,422 points.
Colombia is in the fifth place with 1,366 points, and the French national team in sixth place with 1,332 points.
