CAIRO - 4 July 2019:The Egyptian national team coach, Javier Aguirre, praised Egypt's star Mohamed Salah, stressing that the Liverpool player is still struggling to win the BallonD`or.
"Salah is a very modest person, an extraordinary player and has a nice personality with his teammates," Aguirre said during an interview with Cadena Ser, Spanish radio.
"I see him so far struggling and struggling hard to win the Golden Ball. Why not? he is a UEFA Champions League winner with Liverpool. If he can lead Egypt to the African Cup of Nations, no one can keep the BallonD`or away from Salah."
Mohamed Salah lead Egypt to qualify for the 16th round of the 2019 African Nations Cup and is now preparing to face South Africa on Saturday night.
Egypt have to take a tough route for the Final match. If we beat South African, the Pharaohs will face Nigeria and Cameroon. And then Algeria will be, possibly, waiting for us in the semi-final.
Salah won last season with Liverpool the UEFA Champions League title and scored in the final against Tottenham.
He also won the English Premier League top scorer for the second consecutive season in partnership with Pierre Emeric Aubameyang and Sadio Mane.
