CAIRO - 9 June 2017: Hector Bellerin, Arsenal’s right back, tried to calm Arsenal fans on Thursday after rumors suggested he may be returning to his former club FC Barcelona.

Bellerin from Barcelona to Arsenal in 2011 and became a regular in Arsenal’s starting lineup after a one-year loan to Watford in 2014.

Barcelona has tried to strengthen their right back position after Dani Alves left the club to play for Juventus in 2016. Multiple injuries to their right back Alex Vidal forced the team to place midfielder Sergio Roberto in the right back position.

Bellerin showed his commitment to Arsenal when he extended his 2016 until 2022.

“I signed my new contract for a reason,” Bellerin told the Daily Mail last month. “Arsenal is the club that gave me the chance to be a professional and since the first time I met with the boss he's always said if I progressed the right way I could be an Arsenal player for a long time.“

Bellerin made his debut for the national team in 2016 and is considered a player for the future of the national team.
