Al Ahly will be the Egyptian League title winners: Turki Al-Sheikh

CAIRO - 22 April 2019: Turki Al-Sheikh, the owner of Pyramids club and president of the Arab Football Federation, believes that Al Ahly will win the Egyptian League title this season.

"Al Ahly will be a league champion this season, followed by Zamalek in the second place," Sheikh said.

"Pyramids will finish the league in the third place," he said in a telephone interview with MBC Masr pundit, Amr Adib.

"Al Ahly is a big club standing on a very solid ground; whatever happened with Al Ahly and regardless of the bad decisions and wrong choices, in the end they have a solid foundation," Sheikh said.

Al Ahly suffered in the last two weeks as they were knocked-out of the CAF Champions League against South Africa's Sundowns 1-5 (on aggregate), then they have been defeated by Pyramids FC 0-1 in the Egyptian League which makes them third in the league standings.

"Recalling the spirit and history of Al Ahly gives the team 30-40 percent more chance than any other opponent in the league," he concluded.
