CAIRO – 20 April 2019: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed on Thursday that he is proud of his players after they reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Liverpool defeated Porto 4-1 on Wednesday night at the UEFA Champions League quarter finals second leg to secure qualification to the semifinals after they achieved a 2-0 victory at the first leg in England.

“To be in the semi-final is a big statement, or us to be in the semi-finals is unbelievable. The second time in a row is something really crazy. I'm really proud of the boys and what they did," Klopp said after the game.

Liverpool will face Spanish giants, Barcelona, led by their Argentinean star Lionel Messi, who promised the team fans to win the Champions League trophy this season.

Barcelona reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2015 when they won the title at the end defeating Juventus 3-1 at the final.

Klopp added, “The news that there's a proper football game between Liverpool and Barcelona is really good news and I'm happy for all the people in the football club.We will find things that we think we can use against them, but I'm not worrying about that tonight."

Camp Nou, Barcelona Stadium, will host the first leg while the second leg will be played in Liverpool.
