CAIRO – 11 March 2019: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed on Monday that he is happy with the performance of the team’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, during the game against Burnley that ended with a 4-2 victory for the Reds.

“Mo Salah for me was the best player on the pitch and he didn't score. I am not sure you will see that in a lot of ratings, because he's a striker and he didn't score, but we have no problem with confidence. We are in a good moment,” Klopp said.

Liverpool conceded a goal after six minutes but they returned in the game thanks to two goals from Roberto Firmino and a goal by Sadio Mane.

Burnley scored the second goal to revive their hopes in the game but a late goal from Mane secured the victory for Liverpool.

Salah was behind three of Liverpool’s goals but he failed to score despite the multiple chances he had.

Klopp added, “If we play as we played today. We had the perfect mixture of fighting the opponent, fighting the circumstances and playing football. That was really good, and I liked it."

Liverpool comes second at the league table with 73 points, one point behind the leaders, Manchester City.
