CAIRO – 11 February 2019: Al-Ittihad football director Walid Salah el-Din, believes that his team has a chance to defeat Saudi Arabian giants, Al-Hilal, at the Arab Club Championship.

The competition's quarter finals draw put Al-Ittihad against Al-Hilal and the winner will face the winner between Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ahli, and Emirati Club, Al-Wasl.

“It will be a tough game but nothing is impossible in football. They are a big team with many experienced players but we believe in our chances,” Walid told press on Monday.

Al-Ittihad Alexandria became the only Egyptian team at the tournament after Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Ismaily were knocked out of the competition from round of 16.

Walid added, “We will watch Al- Hilal game against Al-Qadsia at the Saudi Arabian League on Tuesday to be well prepared for the game.”

Al-Ittihad has had an amazing run at the tournament and they knocked out CAF Champions League winners, Espérance, at round of 32 before knocking out Egyptian League leaders, Zamalek, at the second round.

The champion will win $6 million, while the runners-up will win $2.5 million.
