CAIRO – 16 January 2019: Egypt's Handball national team will face Hungary on Wednesday night at the fourth game of the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship held in Denmark and Germany.

The Egyptian team enters the game in high spirits as they achieved their first victory at the competition on Monday night over Argentina 22-20.

Egypt has had a frustrating start at the tournament as they lost their first two games against Sweden and Qatar, respectively.

Egypt needs to achieve victory over Hungary to increase their chances to reach the second round of the tournament.

On the other hand, Hungary needs a draw to secure their qualification to the second round as they have gained five points from two victories over Qatar and Angola, and a draw at the opening game of the tournament against Argentina.

The World Cup draw put Egypt in Group D alongside Sweden, Hungary, Qatar, Argentina and Angola.

Egypt’s remaining game at the group stage will be on Thursday against African rivals, Angola.
