CAIRO- 25 December 2018: Liverpool English midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, returned on Tuesday to his team training sessions for the first time since the injury that sidelined him for more than 8 months.

The player posted a photo on his Instagram account and he wrote “That feeling when you’re back out on the grass for the first time in eight months,".

The first team players received their teammate with applause and Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, commented on his photo saying “It was a joy watching you run again."

Chamberlain suffered a knee injury during his team’s 5-2 victory over AS Roma at UEFA Champions League semi-finals first leg in Anfield in April.

The player missed the semi-finals second leg and watched his team’s 3-1 loss to Real Madrid at UEFA Champions League final from the stands.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, ruled his player out of this season’s entire campaign but the English player hopes to join his team during this season.

Liverpool are having a great season and they are leading the Premier League table, 4 points ahead of second placed, Manchester City.
