CAIRO – 10 October 2018: Egypt defeated Panama 8-3 on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at their second game of the group at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.
Mohamed Talaat scored a goal and Belal el-Sayed scored twice to make the score 3-0 for Egypt after 15 minutes from the start.

Panama returned in the game by two goals from their star, Daniel Arevalo, but the Egyptian team bounced back at the second half, scoring four goals from Sayed, Moamen Morsy and Youssif Mohsen who scored twice to make the score 7-2.

Joel Victoria scored Panama’s third goal in the game, while Mostafa Abdel Magid scored for Egypt seconds before the final whistle to end the game 8-3 for Egypt.



Egypt are leading the group table with four points alongside Iraq who defeated Slovakia earlier on Tuesday 5-0.
The draw put Egypt in Group A alongside Iraq, Panama, Slovakia and Argentina.

Egypt started their participation at the tournament with a 2-2 draw against the host nation, Argentina on Monday, Oct. 8.

Egypt is set to face their Arab rivals, Iraq, on Wednesday, Oct. 10 and they will end their group stage games on Friday, Oct. 12 against Slovakia.

The Egyptian team, led by Saleh Hashem, consists of: Abdel Rahman al-Garwany, Ragab Ramadan, Ahmed Karam, Mohamed Morsy, Mohamed Ahmed known as Hammo, Mohamed Talaat, Belal el-Sayed, Mohamed Ali, Moustafa Abdel Magid and Youssif Mohsen.
