CAIRO – 10 July 2018: Real Madrid announced on Tuesday the departure of their historic Portuguese winger, Cristiano Ronaldo, after 10 years in the Spanish club.

“Today, we (Real Madrid) want to express our gratitude for a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has defined one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football," Real Madrid statement said.

Ronaldo, 33, has won everything with Real Madrid since he joined the club in 2009 from Manchester United.

Ronaldo won four UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cup titles, three FIFA Club World Cup titles and he was crowned the best player in the World four times.

Real Madrid statement added "Beyond the titles conquered, the trophies won and the triumphs achieved on the pitch during these nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an example of dedication, work, responsibility, talent and improvement."

Ronaldo is expected to complete the deal with Juventus in the next few hours with an expected fee of €105 million.
