CAIRO – 19 May 2018: Etoile Sportive du Sahel officials have required $1.1 million to approve the sale of Amr Marei to clubs seeking his services, most notably Zamalek, which is interested in signing the player next season.

For his part, Nabil Abu Zeid, Marei’s agent, said that Etoile Sportive doesn’t want Amr Marie to leave the club, especially after his brilliant performance in the recent period, including the team’s matches in the CAF Champions League, so it has set $1.1 million to approve the sale of Marei to any club.

Abu Zeid revealed that Etoile Sportive refused to sign an exchange deal with Zamalek after Zamalek officials offered their Ghanaian striker, Nana Poku, to the Tunisian club, which refused the offer, preferring a financial incentive for selling Marei.

Marei joined Etoile Sportive on July 17, 2017 on a free-transfer deal from Enppi; he participated with the team in 32 games in all competitions, scoring seven goals and assisting another six goals.
