CAIRO – 13 April 2018: Arsenal Egyptian midfielder Mohamed El Neny revealed on Thursday that he had offers to leave Arsenal last summer but he rejected them to stay in Arsenal and achieve his dream at the club.

“There were some clubs interested in me, and I was not interested at all. I spoke with the people here at the club and I told them, 'I don't want to leave. I want to fight for my position’,” El-Neny told Arsenal Website on Thursday.

El-Neny joined Arsenal in the 2016 winter transfer market but he failed to earn a starting position at his first season and he has been linked with a move to many English clubs; however, he stayed in Arsenal and started to play more games.

El-Neny added,"I trust myself, I have a dream to pursue and I am not going to give up on it. I dream big and this is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I want to stay.”

The Egyptian International played the first game of the season against Chelsea at the Community shield and he won the title with his teammates after defeating Chelsea on penalties.

"I played the first game of the season in the Community Shield and I proved I can play for Arsenal and will continue to fight for my position," the midfielder said about thegame.
