CAIRO – 9 April 2018: Sunday witnessed Napoli converting its loss to a 2-1 victory with a late goal, against Chievo Verona at the game hosted by Napoli at San Paolo stadium in the 31st round of Serie A, to continue its race to reach Juventus the leader of the league’s table.

Mariusz Stępiński scored Verona’s solo goal at the 73rd minute of the game, before Napoli returned to the game with two late goals. Arkadiusz Milik managed to score the equalizer for Napoli at the 89th minute of the game and Amadou Diawara had the last word in the game for the hosts at the third minute of the stoppage time.

With this victory, the second-placed Napoli reached the 77th point, and reduced the points’ difference between Juventus, the leaders, to be only four points, seven rounds before the end of the season. While Chievo Verona stayed the 14th with 29 points.
