CAIRO – 27 February 2018: La Liga announced on Tuesday that the Classico between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Spanish League will be played on May 6 at Camp Nou at 9:45 p.m. (CLT).

The Classico is scheduled four days after the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

The first Classico of the season was played in Madrid and ended with a 3-0 victory for Barcelona thanks to goals by Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Aleix Vidal.

La Liga decided to play the Classico in Madrid at 2:00 p.m. (CLT) to allow fans from China to follow the game, while the Classico in Barcelona will be played at night to allow fans from the United States to follow the game, according to Cadena SER Radio Network.

Barcelona are leading the Spanish League table with 65 points, 7 points ahead of the second-placed Atletico Madrid and 14 points ahead of Real Madrid, who places third in the league table.
