CAIRO – 19 February 2018: Al-Ahly winger Ahmed Hamoudi received a penalty and provided two assists to lead his team to defeat Al-Nasr 5-0 in the Egyptian League on Monday night.

Sherif Ekrami returned to Al-Ahly’s starting line-up for the first time since Al-Ahly’s 1-0 victory over Al-Assiouty on December 6.

Walid Azarro opened the score for Al-Ahly 16 minutes into the game, after Hamoudi was tackled inside Al-Nasr’s area. Azarro doubled the score after 13 minutes when he met a cross from Hamoudi to make the score 2-0.

Two minutes before the half time, Mohamed Hany scored the third goal for Al-Ahly after he followed a free kick from Ali Maaloul, ending the first half 3-0.

Al-Ahly’s new signing, Salah Mohsen, scored his first goal with the club after 10 minutes in the second half when he met a cross from Hamoudi to make the score 4-0.

Al-Ahly manager Hossam el-Badry substituted Azarro for Marwan Mohsen, who featured in his first game with the club since his knee injury with Egypt’s national team in the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

Badry also substituted Amr El Solia for Hossam Ghaly, who returned from a short-term loan to Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr.

Badry’s third substitute, Karim Nedved, added the fifth goal for his team five minutes before the final whistle.

Both teams failed to score any goals in the remaining minutes, ending the game 5-0.

Al-Ahly reached 66 points to lead the Egyptian League 20 points clear.
