CAIRO – 18 February 2018: After ten days of absence due to muscular discomfort, Ever Banega trained with his teammates in the Sunday session ahead of the Wednesday's Champions League match against Manchester United.

Banega was injured in the final leg of the King’s Cup semi-finals against Leganes. The medical staff of the club announced that the midfielder would be out against Girona and Las Palmas and that his return would depend on his response to the treatment. But the Champions League’s clash against Manchester United is very important for Banega, so he decided to return.

Sevilla beat Las Palmas 2-1 in the 24th round of La Liga on Saturday thanks to Ben Yedder and Pablo Sarabia to settle in the fifth place in La Liga’s table with 39 points.

The 29-year-old, who was born in Rosario, Argentina, returned back to Sevilla last summer from Inter Milan, after he failed to show his abilities with the Italian giants.

Banega managed to play 34 games with Sevilla this season; he scored four goals and provided five assists with the Andalusian team.
